To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.

can you tell me how to get rid of the (25 Viewing) next to forums?

You can turn off vboptions > forum home page > display logged in users or if you don't want to do that, you may remove the line in the templates. Do a search in templates for the word "x_viewing" and you'll find the phrase and thus the line of code in the templates.
