Temporarily Hide Total Post Count on Forum home

Hi

Can anyone advise how I can temporarily hide (or artificially amend) the total post count shown on the home page ?

We're looking to run a competition for the 1millionth post, but I need to hide/change the current total.

You could always just edit the section out of the forumhome template until the contest is over.
