Welcome to the readme for the Great Affiliate Page for your Forum hack.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
************************************************** ************************************************** ******************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*1: Just customise the template to your liking now, so, lets be sure, here is how the tag works:

<a href="HTTP://YOUR LINK GOES HERE.COM" target="_blank" title="THIS IS WHAT VISITORS WITHOUT IMAGES ENABLED WILL SEE">This is the link that people click to access your affiliates site.</a><br>

Thats it..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OPTIONAL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
************************************************** ************************************************** ******************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adding a Link into your NavBar.

Go to AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> YourSkin -> Navigation & Breadcrumb Templates -> navbar

find:

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="calendar.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[calendar]</a></td>

Add below:

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="misc.php?do=page&template=Affiliates"><abbr title="visit our affiliates today, click here!">Affiliates</abbr></a></td>

Now there should be a link on your navbar called "Affiliates" and when you hover your mouse over it, it will say in a little popup

hoverbox thingy (yes, I know, that name is too awesome) "visit our affiliates today, click here!"... Feel free to customise that.

Woot, All finished! you can access your finished page from this link:

http://yoursite.com/yourforumdir/misc.php?do=page&template=Affiliate

hmm

It might be a skin thing?

The product should be creating that template for you in all skins... is it there in all skins? as I only have the default skin on my testboard and it works fine...

go to the skin it works on, and right click "Copy Image Location"

If its anything other than yoursite.com/yourforum/images/aff1.png (or jpg) yoursite.com/yourforum/images/aff2.png then you'll need to upload it again to where it says the image is.

Easily done, go to your custom_Affiliate template, and find the:

<div class="spacer"></div>

and copy until:

</tbody>
</table>
<a href="http://parlancia.com"><div class="smallfont">Affiliates Page created by Mad Mikey</a></div>
</div>

and put it all under

$footer

That's because there is no plugin in the product....

I have a private forum which registeration require a payment to be done first ...
Is this affiliate page will enable my current users to edit their friends and earn a commission ?

This modification does indeed work.

You just left a portion of information out, or rather "phrased" it incorrectly.

Instead of

http://yoursite.com/yourforumdir/misc.php?do=page&template=Affiliates

Insert:

http://yoursite.com/yourforumdir/misc.php?do=page&template=Affiliate

Without the "s" at the end and then you will get the page you are looking for.

You are basically calling for the wrong template each time because of the template name confusion.

Nice job by the way, I love this quick Mod.

Please do edit the last line in your opening post to inform readers.
