Hi,
I am running a forum which appears to be dead slow and I am not sure of the reasons.
I have a number of plugins, or it could be the host. (Or a combination)
I did some search but what I am looking for is to understand how to measure those parameters that make my forum run dead slow or even go to database errors and timeouts.
The host is godaddy and is on a shared server. After speaking with them and some tracerts which I did from various ISPs and from different countries, they said its the traffic and the number of loops that it takes to reach from Europe. Might be true but still cant explain how slow this website is especially in the afternoons (EU time)
Then again, Im not a professional and this database and forum has suffered many tests and plugins and might not be optimised. Is there a tutorial or someone with some knowledge that cant take a look on some basic data?
let me know what do I need to paste to help and guide.
thanks
