I am running out of room on my navbar. I'd like to insert another drop down list on my navbar. But I would like its contents to appear when you hover over it. Anyone know how?

Here's one you may download - http://www.sothink.com/product/dhtmlmenu/index.htm
There are many different ways to do this. I don't think I've seen a mod here to integrate it, so you'll have to do that part on your own.

UK, those are great! When I get things back in order on my site, I think I'm gonna play with those.

Thanks, Its pretty easy to do, plus if you have a little play with the CSS part you can end up with a smashing menu, just like the guy from ABoxcafe.
Its nice to keep it simple in the begining, and you can experiment with theme colors, fonts, etc as you go along, Its a great learning curve too ;)

That looks really good. I notice both examples kept the original VB navbar too. Is that necessary...having 2 navbars?

Hi Len,
You can remove the navbars if you wish, some people have others just keep the bear minimum, but its up to you how you want your forum to look, A Pm to the site owners or an email will usally help you with a few idea.
I love this word - EXPERIMENT!!

Thanks, I guess my question could have been more specific. Is there any part of the original navbar that can't be placed into your system or that is particularly complicated to do.

Hi Len,
I'm not 100% Sure as i've not replaced my navbar completely, if you look at the live demo's you will see one of them has replaced it completely and reading through the mod thread you'll find others have too.
Because this is a standalone product (You can use it in any HTML website) it's not coded to use VB hooks and i think that some items in the normal VB navbar do use them, not sure which though, but you need to ask yourself do you actually need them??
The bonus with the dropdown navbar is that you can use some many more links, you can link exterally as well as adding admin and mod only tags with conditionals to prevent others seeing them, so you'll be able to addadmin and mod links available to only those who have permission to see them.
Hope this answers your question ;)
