there are levels 1 to 7, I was wondering how one "progresses" through those "ranks"..?

I looked at the FAQ, but can't seem to see anything.

It's a point system based on what forum the mod/graphic/template is released in and how many users have downloaded it. It's top secret, so I can't tell you what the exact formula is. :D (OK, that part isn't completely true.) You can see how many points you have by clicking on your username in this thread.
