Hey,

Having some problems, wondering if anyone can help? I'm trying to transfer my site from my old host, to my new one, here is what i did:

1. Turn Board Offline
2. Download Database and Files
3. Uploaded files to new host
4. Uploaded Database
5. Changed the config files
6. Tried to use my site

And this is what I got: http://fpsoverload.com

Can't login at all, tried going to /admincp login there..it say Thank you for loggin in, and then redirects me to the login page again...

What have I done wrong? Oh, and I don't have telnet or shh. And my previous host was Dreamhost > no cPanel, but now I have cPanel :)

Thanks.

Please tell everyone exactly what you had to do to fix it. It might help others that are searching in the future.

Most likely incorrect cookie path/domain. Fixed by uploading tools.php from the do_not_upload directory, and running the "Reset Cookie Domain/Path" tool.

Hey,

I didnt fix it, it just started working, but looks to have stoped working again, I think somthing's wrong with my database...going to download and upload it again,

But i'll try the cookie path now, before.

Thanks.

Update: The tool isnt working :\ But, that resets the path, should there be a modify option or somthing, because I guess I need to change it to my domain and the fourm path ?

Also, Why's my nav bar disappeared?

Since this is at a new host, the first thing I would do is open a trouble ticket with them and let them know all about it.

You'll get one of two reactions. They'll either tell you to go to hell and fix it on your own, or they'll take it as a personal challenge and fix it.

I've send a support ticket, they've said they'll have a look into it :)

I guess they're supposed to be good with forums, JustHost, voted the best forum host 2008/9

Please report back. Note that it might take a while, depending what else is going on. And be prepared to give them admin login if they request it.

Many hosts are much better about this sort of thing these days than they used to be just a couple years ago. I think maybe the reason is they keep large staff around for the emergencies, but 99% of the time they have nothing to do and get bored just like anyone, so they actually have lots of time to mess with people's forums and blogs.

Right, will do.

Yeah, i've noticed there is alot of staff there, tickets are always answered in about 15 mins.

I'm just gunna hope for the best, and keep ya'll updated :)

Ok, I think its working again, but...I've said this before so...

What I did, I deleted the hole databases' content and imported it again, still nothing..

So I deleted the database itself and made a new one, imported and it worksss!!

Just gotta see for how long...

Still, anybody know about those taggregates?

Who knows. Nothing like that in mine. May be from a mod. Probably cause less trouble if you just ignore them.
