Please help - I got hacked - need help

Over the weekend I got hacked - completely shut down my forum.

My webmaster is looking into it... it was a script running in the header on line 2... whatever that means...

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/socal3/public_html/index.php:1) in /home/socal3/public_html/index.php on line 2

is this common, any fixes?

replace the index.php file with the original that you find within your vBulletin archive...
