Random Usergroup on Registration?

I've found a few awesome hacks that satisfy this request, but unfortunately, they're out of date and not supported. :(

Anyone able to help out? I'd just like new users to be sorted into one of four random usergroups upon registration. It'd save my admins a lot of time. ;)
