Presenting The Rap Battle System!

What is it?
This is an addon targetted at Rap/Hip-Hop forums. It adds a feature that allows users to battle against each other using text/audio/graphics etc. See screenshots for more information.

What features does it have?

New Battle Page In Battle Forums.
Multiple Battle Forums.
Scoring System.
Users Can't Vote On Own Battles.How do I use it?

Set which forums are battle forums in forum manager (admincp).
Go to that forum.
Click the new battle button.
Input message/rules and opponent.

How do I install?
Follow the installation instructions provided :).


Please note that limited support will be provided in this thread. Once my site is complete I will be transfering support over to their.

For the mean time, support will only be given to those that click Install.

This hack is currently in BETA. Once I've recieve feedback from the community and bugs (if they exist) are fixed it will be updated.

Currently it's just 1v1 right now. An integration with my SOTW mod is also a possibility :)

The original idea was to use it for a 'Rap' battles but yes the lite version could be used for just about anything.

And yes I believe it works for 3.7

it has the new battle button

but when i click it, it doesnt load the page

it loads nothing

it brings up error 404

Upload it to your forum root folder. It's normally /forums | /forum | /board
Something like that. It's the folder that has admincp, clientscript, modcp, includes, images etc

It can however be edited via notepad etc and then imported

Aka if you have a database prefix of VB_

you would edit each instance of

$vbulletin->db->query_write("ALTER TABLE user ADD bs_losses smallint(6) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0'");

to
$vbulletin->db->query_write("ALTER TABLE VB_user ADD bs_losses smallint(6) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0'");

Could you give me a little more info? That error is given when the battle fails to post. What version of PHP and MySQL are you using? What modifications are you using that add functionality to threads etc.

Reimport the product file => Allow Overwrite = Yes

And upload the files again.

Do Not Buy The Regular Version, No Matter If They Get The Site Up Or Not, Does Not Work, Bought It, Spend Money On It, Took Them 6 Months And Still No Help. Waste Of Money, May work for some, but you don't want to be the forum that spends money and doesn't get anything in return except a broken mod. Little to none help from their people. Just look above I asked if the site would be back soon, and a month later it's STILL down. After they said "Back up shortly". If you buy this mod, that's what you should expect as far as service.

Don't bother trying to install the premium version unless you know how to code. It is full of errors that need to be fixed or else you'll suffer from database and fatal errors in your forum.

Good coder but he is purposefully scamming people.

The Lite version is a good place to expand on. But you will need coding knowledge and it is also full of bugs, though not as serious as the premium version.

not sure if it's the same in every case but i couldn't just not offer a solution

the issue this mod caused my site was it crashed the "Post" tables in the database
which is easily repaired if you can just use "myphpadmin" and locate the database and repair it
