Block disposable emails at registration!
Disposable Email Address (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disposable_e-mail_address) (DEA) providers are responsible for wasting hours of your life as you try to keep your banning options up to date with the latest crap-generating domain from Kerblakistan. Stop playing this game of catch!
Our non-profit organization (http://dreamact.info), as part of a program to keep vigilant users and spammer away from our forums and out of our daily routine, has developed Undisposable, a minimalistic module with a lot of punch.
Features
TRANSPARENCY
Silently verify the email domain name against the entire undisposable.NET (http://undisposable.net/) database at time of registration. If the person is using a DEA provider, an error message is displayed.
FAIL SAFE
If the undisposable.NET service is temporarily not available, the user will be allowed to register. This module will never road block valid registrations.
PRIVACY
No email address is ever transmitted. Only the domain name is sent to undisposable.NET for verification. No other information is ever sent or stored anywhere.
Installation
Import the product. Thats all. :)
If you like this module please support our non-profit by donating (http://dreamact.info/donate) to our cause.

No question. I've contacted them about this, I've yet to receive a reply. I think we need an open list and service somewhere, but who is willing to host and maintain that? :(
For now, I put the power in the hands of our users in the hope that they will raise the question should a "green" domain make it into this database. Most registrations, at least here in the US, come from a few popular domains. If any of these make it on the list I am sure we will be notified by our users right away.
The risk of accidentally blacklisting a rare domain without being informed about it is surely there but it is low enough to not matter in the grand scheme of things. To us, the risk is worth not having to deal with this problem on a daily basis or have the accounts pollute the member list. For our organization this is especially important, since we need a metric of real and unique membership.

Will this work with VB 3.8X?

It's safe to say that it will work with any version. The code uses a single hook and a single vbulletin variable.
I put it under 3.6 since it's the only version that I have actually tested it on.

It seems that undisposable.NET (http://undisposable.net/) is no longer operating? Is this the case and will this modification still work?

The mod will still work ;
If the undisposable.NET service is temporarily not available, the user will be allowed to register. This module will never road block valid registrations.
But its a bit pointless if the site has gone forever.

Looks like undisposable.net is done for... =(
That does make the module obsolete until someone finds/builds a similar service. Any known alternatives?
I'm sure we can whip up a new provider (even on a free host), but there is the problem of maintaining the list. This is really retarded. The least he could have done is release the black list.

Just a heads up to everyone. The service is back up, apparently it was a temporary issue.

Just tested it as part of reviewing our registration process and its still working.
You can always test for yourself, just go to your registration page and enter abc@mailinator.com and try to submit the form. If its working, one of the error messages should be about it being a disposable email.
Remember, this plugin will not prevent registration if the undisposable service is down, so its safe to keep it installed and enabled.

I installed this product on vb4 and tested it with two known disposable mail providers and it is NOT working.

undisposable.NET is down. This mod should be in graveyard.
