I got a site growing pretty quickly at www.nightlifevibe.com (http://www.nightlifevibe.com) and could use some feedback on how to improve. Any features to add? Colors to change? Layout? Do you know of a mod that could greatly improve the website mission?

It's a nightlife board which includes discussion on music, nightlife, djs, artists, music events, etc.

I really appreciate it! Hey, if you like it - feel free to register lol.

I like it very much. Similar structure to mine, less the Facebook connect which I'd like to implement. Good job!

its looking good, i guess you can say it has a good "night" Feeling , have you tried marine blue though? or something like that?

In any case , the banner in the forum posts , takes much space , you should place it somewhere else , maybe in the header itself.

you can improve your graphics however , make it look more smooth , and a really good sense of night feel.

Other than that , its coming along well i would say.

the logo's colors is great, but it is not reflected elsewhere in the forum, so it is sad... the 3rd party style itself is basic... you need to integrate your colors and fonts more... it would enhance your site a lot.

sorry but everything about the design is dull - I'm not getting any "vibe"

I recommend a major overhaul on the style and colors - even the logo needs needs a new look. Nothing about your style screams "nightlife".

When on your site I feel dull and boring. In fact, I feel sleepy right now. ;)

You'll be successful when your visitors feel like partying when visiting your site.

have to agree with others that the design is dull and boring,

I would highly recommend you use more colors and try to mix them in there. I think shades of blue, purple, and green (if done right) will give the site that nightlife / party feel that it should have.

and last, maybe have a little introduction/about us section or a module so that people will get to know more about what the site is.

keep up the good work

Ahh brilliant!

Looks like I got a long way to go still. heh. Seriously though, creating this site using vb has been an amazing thrill for me :)

Working on recreating the logo within the next few weeks to give that "party" vibe as many have said is missing from the overall layout.

Today I gave my users the ability to add a custom toolbar hosted by ourtoolbar.com . Really neat and the users love it. Great way to keep them reminded of the website.
