Adding a FIRST POST to an existing Thread?

Ok, I believe there is probably a simple answer here....

I have an existing Thread on my Forum where I want to add a FIRST post to show on the top, prior to all the existing posts.

Is this possible?

I have not tried this, but I think it would work....

There is a hack that allows you to change the name of the first poster, and also the post date. (do a search of the modification forums)

Create a new thread with the post you want to add > change the date to earlier than the first post in the thread you want to add it to > merge the two threads.
