I'm sure this has come up before, but I would find it helpful if either Requests For Paid Services had subforums or required thread prefixes. e.g. Mod, Install, Graphics, whatever - we can figure out the details, but right now it's sort of hard to navigate.

In addition, if the owner could mark the thread serviced, or completed, or whatever and it did something, even just changed the color, it would help me from going through a dozen threads that have already been serviced. This could also be handled easily with thread prefixes.

Times are hard, and getting worse before they get better. I know we don't tend to do much to support paid work around here (though the donations I've received have been both helpful and GREATLY appreciated) but as community owners, giving some love to the Requests For Paid Services forum right now to make it easier for those of use who want to use it, goes further than you think :)

prefixes for mods, graphics etc would be perfect... i think Marco made amend on that a long time ago -- when we upgrade he said... lol

for the closed matter, i think that 99% of the requests are not closed because people are not coming back here... answered or scammed or abandonned would be better tags ... rofl

I open a lot of them that say 'so and so responded', or 'thanks I've hired someone', etc...

It's nice of people to post that, so I at least know not to respond, but a simple thread prefix could make it so I don't even have to open all those threads, plus, I could filter them out via a search.

This is built into vb and would literally take 10 minutes of someones time to setup.

We dont want yet more sub forums, but thread prefixes would do a similar job ok (as they do in the mod forums).

Its not built into 3.6 ;)

I looked at this once before, but there was some reason that prefixes would not work in the paid requests forum. I can t remember why now but it was something to do with the way the system operates on vb.org (its a customised version of the thread prefix mod).
It wasnt long after I took over the vb.org code and at the time I didnt want to start messing with it and potentially break something, but I may have another look.

Thanks Paul. And why is vb's flagship forum running 3.6? :p

Needs some help upgrading mods? :D
