kBank v2.5.2 for vBulletin 3.6.x (tested with vBulletin 3.6.8 PL 2), vBulletin 3.7.x (tested with vBulletin 3.7.4 PL 1) and vBulletin 3.8.x (tested with vBulletin 3.8.0)

[WHAT IS IT?]
kBank is a money system for your vBulletin Board with a lot of feature (listed below). With kBank, your members will try to post as much as possible (even spam) to earn points to get cool items or to be the richest man in the world :D You will love it!

1. Admin function: 1.1 Edit Settings (a lot of settings)
1.2 Donate members: by usergroup or username
1.3 Detail statistic updated daily, full action log (admin log & member log)

Similar but there are some differences

I uploaded everything included in the upload folder. Maybe there's a file missing?
Just checked. At least the file contains your specified function is included. You have only ONE error or more?

I'll give it a try. I love vbCredits, but I also love new toys :p

I've just downloaded kBank 2.1, and uploaded all the files there. That seems to have fixed the problem. I had just one error...

Edit: That fixed the Admin Panel problem, but created more errors on the forum page. I've been able to uninstall for now though.

Playing around 3.8.2 and still don't understand why you get that error :(

You mean for usergroup subscription? If support usergroup subscriptions, it will not be an itemtype :D

Okay, a couple of issues.

1) No default item types or items are included. When the user goes to kbank>kShop they get the error: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/kbank/helper_item_search_process.php on line 113. I assume because there are no items.
2) When I try to create an itemtype from the admincp, so I can create an item, I get this error: Some UserID can not be found!
3) I cannot find where I import vbCredits.

1. Yes, you are right
2. You get that message maybe because you enter invalid userid into "Owner UserID". If you are testing, you can leave it blank
3. Just go to kBank Settings page and use credits as database field and everything will be fine

Always run
Datastore (itemtypes cache, warning items cache, announces, top richest) = 1 query
Current User Items (active & inactive, only run if Items enabled) = 1 query
Smilies Cache (BBCode Parser) = 1 query
By script (common queries only)
[index] 24h online list (can be disabled) = 1 query
[index, forumdisplay, usercp] Moderators' userid (only run if show moderator column & Items enabled) = 1 query
[index, forumdisplay, usercp] Cache active items of moderators and online users (can be skiped) = 1 query
[showthread, showpost] Load awarded/thanked (only run if Awarding enabled) = 1 query
[showthread, showpost] Cache usernames for awarded/thanked (only run if Awarding enabled & show username) = 1 query
[showthread, showpost] Cache active items of posters (only run if Items enabled) = 1 query ;)

Okay, so far I like it. It's going to take some work and skill to setup a bunch of itemtypes and items, with graphics and proper ids set and all that. I will work on it as I have time and share my results.
Maybe you will find the award/thank stuffs useful also (if you haven't tried it out). Hehe :D

Also is there anyway to disable the who visited in 24h mod?
And how can I set the required amount for the [hide] tags? When ever I use them now it just asks for any amount.

If a forum has pictures or music or some other item which can be downloaded, can this mod somehow monetize the downloads based upon a subscription?

For example, a subscriber purchases a $10.00 subscription. Forum has pictures or music or some other items for download which, when a paid subscriber downloads that item, would have the value of that downloaded item deducted from subscribers account until the subscribers paid subscription is zero or at a point where subscriber cannot purchase anything further until he/she renews paid subscription.

The more I figure out the more I like this.

You definitely need to have more things installed/configured by default IMHO as it's not easy to setup.

Setup properly this mod will allow users to create custom usernames, titles, enable special large avatars, or animated avatars. If you like that kind of thing, as I do, it's worth some effort.

Attached is a text file with all named html colors ready to copy and paste into the itemtype field for username colors. Sadly, the item type field is a varchar limited to 255 characters and not a text field. Hopefully that will be changed soon.

Actually, I did a plugin to make DownloadsII work with kBank exactly the way you mentioned. It's possible but it's a paid work (or I will decide to make a lite version later)

You can put the attachment links between hide codes using attachmentid but after someone get you links so he/she can share them around :P

I have no demo of downloadsII with integration but I will build one if you interest. It can take several days ;)

As I said before, maybe there is something confict with kBank. I'm contacting users who also get that error to find out more about their vBulletin. Why don't you take a screenshot. This can help a lot.

I use CamStudio for recording, and Audacity to disguise my voice (if you care about that). Works nicely, and all free.

You are testing the Salary Center, right?
That part isn't stable yet. As you can see, that's a tool to help you calculate some activities but doesn't do anything. I still need some idea to finish it :( When it is stable, those strange errors will be blowed away...

You should delete all files uploaded but it's hard so if you just want to remove the panel in AdminCP, go delete ./includes/xml/cpnav_kbank.xml

Sorry but have to agree with Anuanu.. the product is not ready for public download in my opinion. Beta testing should be done in house before releasing rather than doing it on live forums.. all the best for it!!

ok heres another issue.

On post i click thanks, I add the amount and add the reason. I click thank again and I get an error:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /showpost.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

showpost.php is set to 0755
That's odd!

As I guess, you using the 2.5 version and you have just turned it off.
Don't worry, open your ./includes/config.php insert this code

define('DISABLE_HOOKS',1);

Now you can access AdminCP normally. Don't forget to remove the code after you finish ;)

Don't really understand but if you want to change the thank amount (to see the hidden content when the poster increase the requirement) you can enable the multi-thanks function in kBank Award Settings page

So user who didn't pay $20 dollars they will see

"sorry this content is hidden. you must pay $20 dollars to see content. You paid $0 out of $20"

if they pay 20 dollars they get to see.

and if I increase the ="30" then user cannot see the post again it will show

"sorry this content is hidden. you must pay $30 dollars to see content. You paid $20 out of $30"

hide-thank function is a function that user just thank and they can view the post.

hidden content[/hide-thanks] means: You have to thank at least $50 to see the hidden content

And yes, you can require any amount by using: [hide]hidden content

That's 2 ways of behavior in kBank Thank

If they don't wanna pay, they can't see the hidden content. I think there is no way to see the hidden content without paying (email subscription, archive, blah blah)

When I have thanks/award enabled when I click the link it just opens a new window with the page I am currently on. Any reason for this? Also are there any plugins to be used with this? Also is there a readme associated with item types etc. It is all a bit confusing without documentation.

Hi kBank user,

One of my friend has asked for the option that prevent member from multiple-submitting donate form. Doing it can allow him/her to donate more than his/her account balance to other account. The reason is the system takes time to process the request. So I have done a quick addition, you can enable Secure Mode in AdminCP and all donation will be used with a database transaction to prevent that kind of hack (yeah, I think it's hacking)

You can easily upgrade your 2.5.1 version to 2.5.2 by download a small file (50KB) in kBank thread

what fixed it was modifying the .htaccess file and adding

It's built into both arcades (jackpots) I think... there are vbcredits free mods for both arcades, too - so you can see what they are doing.

So, what is it's name? vBArcade and what? Intergrating with other product is simple enough so I can do it in just 5 minutes but I need to install/test that product. Testing can take 15 min or so, even longer if the game is so interesting. Hehe :D

Here are some feature requests. If you are familiar with Discuz you will probably know some of these already:

- Ability for members to reward the thread op or creator and have it display who donated the money

- Ability to buy special permissions like posting links, bigger PM box with money

- Automatic or manual upgrade to a usergroup based on money

- Money taken away for things like downloading files or spamming

There should be an option to disallow people from selling items that they have bought. I did this by editing the templates but there should be an option in the admincp. Maybe allowing only certain usergroups to sell.

An option to discard items. Say somebody buys an item to edit their username, but it can only be used once, so they buy another one. The option to discard the old item would be nice.

Also I came across a bug, or at least I think it is.
People are able to sell items that they have used up, then the buyer is left with an item they cannot use.

I do like the mod though. :up:

kBank give money to member via post (changable in AdminCP with posting thread/posting reply/characters count)
You can use thank function to reward the creator (thank with some amount and a short message)
Special permissions can be added easily via itemtype modules. I'm still working on more and more itemtypes right now. Thanks for suggestion about posting links, PM box ;)
Forum staff can take money away via award function. Downloading files need some small intergration

You can disable enabled item and use the new one (actually, the new item's effect will override old one's)

If you asking about itemtype using image like in iShop: this itemtype has been planed but no solution has been found to prevent multiple queries running each page load (in iShop, each post you view will produce a query) so... this itemtype is not available at this moment

I installed this and I love it, as do my members. They all like the idea of the in-site currency and though we haven't released it, are anticipating being able to "buy" things within the site.

However, when I'm in my adminCP there are no "kbank" items on the left, and I found and can view the kbank in my forum but there are no links on the navbar and I've yet to even find anything relating to a shop/items ... so far all I have is my KP$ and ability to thank in posts.

I'm on 3.8.1 and I'm sure I just got something set wrong on this, I'd really hate to have to uninstall it because it was something I really wanted on my site.

Thanks in advance for any help and for this potentially awesome modification.

EDIT: Okay, if I go to my default skin then I can see the kbank at the navbar but if I click on kshop it does not exist, I don't get a 404 but from within the forum i get a "not found" error.

Also, I only did an install and after this post did an update to the current version and nothing changed for me. Still no options showing up on the menu to the left in my adminCP

EDIT: OKAY I GOT IT! It was an uploading error with the adminCP files and a couple other files, once I re-uploaded them correctly it's all working with an exception to my navbar items which I don't care about because this won't go fully live until a graphical update which means it won't matter ;)

I love this, I hope I'm not celebrating too soon.

You should see a new navbar button called "kBank" and under it there is something called "kShop". If you didn't see it, maybe your template has some problem. You can access directly via http://yourdomain.com/your-forum-path/kbank.php?do=shop

Note: You have to create new item in AdminCP

Found a bug when trying to change the post background item settings...

In the code it gives at the validation:

In this code $postbgs isn't defined, and is not definable by using global either. Fixed this by using this code:

This happend when your moderator doesn't associated with any forum. Don't worry about that warning, it still works as expected

If you set points with value 0.001 or 0.0001 like that, you should go to AdminCP > kBank > Edit Settings > Round Up Numbers = 3 or 4 (to display 3 or 4 decimal numbers)

Oh, just check the system and the problem is. Our field can handle only 2 decimal numbers. So... If you want to use more than 2 decimal numbers, you should change your database structure (which is dangerous, and sometime unpredictable). You should consider use value like 0.01. If you still want to use 0.0001, please send me your forum link with an admin account via PM or email (daohoangson[at]gmail.com).

Hmm, if the date is shown wrong... I have no idea how it can happen. Can you take a screenshot?

Currently there is no bank functions like deposit/withdraw money

Oh, just create a new account (or use an existing account). Remember it's userid
Open ./includes/config.php, look for

$config['SpecialUsers']['canrunqueries'] = 'x';

You can have something already in x, just add our userid into it so it looks like

$config['SpecialUsers']['canrunqueries'] = '1';
or
$config['SpecialUsers']['canrunqueries'] = '1,2,3,4';

Hey dude, I'd like to take back my words on something, I remember I've did some suggestion on renaming award system and all, after playing around with it for 2 days, I've discovered that award means +ve and -ve and, i dont actually need thank system, so yeah, that suggestion I'll take back.. :D

But I hope the next update, comes with bank, so people can deposit/withdraw earning interest. :D

Oh my apologies for naming it a bug, can you tell me which phrase to edit for awards, and the code for it to be replaced, sorry.. once again.. :S

HELP! i just installed this addon. Everything was uploaded then i imported. i started checking out the options and when i clicked save changes, my forum gave a great database error and it started flooding my email with errors!! i dont know what to do, i tryed deleting the files from the database but it gets worse errors, help please! Hi there,

Don't worry too much. With that error message, I can see that you changed the kBank field to "Oro". I think you made mistake in this step. I think you want to change the name to "Oro" (means "gold" in Spanish, right?) instead of the field.

Now you can fix by 3 steps:
Turn off all hooks
Go to kBank Settings page, change "Oro" back to "money" in "Money field" and change value of "Name of points" to "Oro"
Turn hooks back on
If you don't know how to turn off hooks, take a look at this page: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=196688 (I have just Googled it :D)

Does this allow members to buy items, ( A member can use his/her points to be granted access to download a specific file. )

Eg. A Graphics Design Site, Using this could allow there members to spend their points to download a certain Brush Pack etc.
You will need a Downloading Plugin and kBank will be used as a Money Gateway (with some modification) to require point when downloading. I'm thinking about require money when downloading attachments, too. Maybe it will be available in the future
With kBank, now, you can purchase items with special function like changing username, usertitle, display background in posts, etc

Is there something obvious I am missing? When my users buy custom avatars they do not show up... Their profiles are set to view avatars and the gallery works, and their avatar shows in the admin cp but not in posts.
Please make sure to enable Avatar in vBulletin Settings and Avatar permission in usergroup

You can go to Admin CP>Kbank>Edit Settings> Under Points Per Thread - Default Value - Click on Reset Forum Policy, you can edit the permissions.

You can limit the default size of avatar to something like 1px*1px or 1KB in size :D I'm still looking a way to bypass this inconvenient stuff

But right that isn't working properly either! x_x i dont know why. I setted everything so you could get money ONLY by replying at topics in an specific subforum. But i dont know, it gave me 1 gold once after replying, but then nothing else, i keep replying but i can't get more than 1, what could be the problem?.

You would need to set the setting, go to admin CP>Kbank>Edit Settings>Set value for Points per Thread - Default Value/Points per Posts - Default Value/Points per Character - Default Value and some maybe be not right, so click on Reset Forum Policy and made some changes there by reset the default value of each forum.

its all setted, replies in just 1 forum are setted to give 1 point, and the rest is all 0. But for some reason they get just 1 point for replying many times at that subforum. What i want is them to get 1 point for every reply in an especific thread, but i dont know what isn't working

For a specific thread, I really have no idea on how to do this, sorry what I know is, u can't set them for each subforums/sections, but for threads I don't think this would be possible.. :S

Lets see, what i want to do is for them to get 1 point every time they reply on this thread. Like a post count of only that thread. So i setted so they would get 1 point per reply on the forums policy. But once they get 1 point for the first reply they never get more =/ thats whats not working.

Ok, I gotcha now.. well, to get 1 point per reply, basically u've settled it by putting 1 at the points per character, about the 1 point for only the FIRST reply, I don't see that option in anywhere though.. :| Sorry..

Go to admincp>kbank>Edit settings

In points per reply, points per thread, and points per character put them as 0

Then you click "Reset Forum Policy" make sure everything is 0, 0 and 0

and if they're not, click on the forum and put all fields as 0.

Then you go to kbank award>edit settings>turn thank system off

Now, only admins can see the posts, admins have privilege to award user or u can donate without affecting your(admin) points through admin CP.
