Hi, I am currently a licensed owner of an older vbulletin version and was thinking about upgrading in the near future.
So, here is my question. If my updates ran out before 4.0 came out, will I be able to purchase the updates (the 1 year for 40$) and receive that version of the software? Or do I have to purchase another license?
I was wondering because it isn't in the 3.x series so I didn't know if I was able to just go straight to 4.0 with the update method.
Thanks,
Light Hazard

you can renew your license at anytime and get the latest version of the script

As long as your license is valid and still has "support time" left in it, you will be able to use any version of vBulletin (regardless of branch).

Thank you. This may have cleared confusion up with some of the older board members :)

Also, the (1 year for $40) is if you purchase it in a certain time frame, if not, it costs $60.

You are right, I found evidence of that on the order form
Along with this license, you will receive one year of free updates. Beyond the first year, a nominal fee of $60 (or $40 if purchased within 60 days of the license expiring) is payable to obtain updates for an additional year.
The only thing I was confused with was the birth of a new branch. But, thanks to dismounted, my confusion was lifted.
Thanks.
