disable private albums in 3.8.x

How can I disable private albums? I have a few Mods that try to show private albums to people so I want to disable them completely. Thanks.

I don't think you can do that. It's an options under Profile Privacy. You can disallow users to do that, but then you take away their permission to set anything as private.

You can disable Profile Privacy under vboptions > user profile options > allow profile privacy.

If you disable that, you really should tell your users because they may believe that some parts of their profile are private and when you disable it, that won't be true any longer.

Thanks Lynne. I disabled it. So, now my users cannot set their albums to private? It's a new forum www.mynflforums.com and my users don't have anything set to private yet. They should not see an option to set something to private now, right? It messes up the top photos and 'albums' page when someone has their photos set to private and that is why I want it disabled. Thanks again.

You can verify what a user can or cannot do by creating a new user and logging in as that user and seeing what they can or cannot do.
