Thread notification for usergroup

I see that you can set someones thread notification via the user properites in the backend, however is there a way you can set it by usergroup?

Lets say if I want all regular users to be notified of a new thread and/or reply. Anyone know of anything? Thanks in advance!

There's a mod to force users to read a certain mod... it stops them, and provides them with a link to the thread.... you can pick and choose which usergroups it forces to see it.

Or is that going to be too direct?

Also, your users can sign up for a RSS feed from your board... That's what my users do
