Merge consecutive posts within the same thread?

Is there a hack for merging two consecutive posts within the same thread? If so, please point me in the right direction :D

I did a search and was unable to locate such hack. I found hacks for preventing double post spamming not what I am looking for.

Basically, if a user posts, then posts again, you want it to just combine the two posts?

You said you found hacks to prevent double posting, but it's not what you're looking for... why isn't it? The following is a quote from the mod i linked you to.

Basically, if member posts in a thread where they were the previous last poster, then if the conditions are met, their new post will be auto-merged into the previous post instead of creating a new "double" post.
