adding fields to user control panel options page?

I'd like to add some fields to the user control panel options page something like "Show Signatures" or "Show Avatars". I don't want to just add a new profile field becasue it would be on the wrong page. I'd like it listed with the other site options found on profile.php?do=editoptions

can anyone recommend an existing hack that does something like this so i can look at how it's accomplished?

it doesn't necessarily need to even be a 3.8 mod. I'm sure a 3.6 or 3.8 mod would get me close enough. no need to reinvent the wheel.

without checking my admin panel isnt there a section near the bottom of the profile field manager called display page or similar, where you can choose where you want your new profile fields to show, correct me if i'm wrong :)

When you add the profile field, it can show on the Edit Options page - mine do. At the bottom of the Profile page where it says which page display this option, select any of the Options: whatever options to have it display there.
