Do you guys recommend purchasing VBSEO when VBulletin 4 is supposed to have friendly url rewrite and SEO enhancements?
Thank you.

Jelsoft is like moving up a level on SEO, but vBSEO will still take a big impact (depending on your site)
Check out vBSEO for more details.

I don't recommend vbseo atm. It would be wise to wait for vb4.

i don'T think discussing commercial products is good in the pre-sales though...

I think it is very relavent.
I can buy with vbseo or just wait to buy vb4.

the staff wont like this thread, it's best to ask at vbseo.com or vbulletin.com ;)
and yes, I'll still use vbseo..
the new vbulletin "seo" is about 1% of what vbseo currently does.
It's like buying a car with "red paint"
it looks okay, but a car with a "custom paint job" will be more valuable.

Nothing wrong with his question.

I'd think your best bet is to wait for the beta before choosing to get vbSEO Jelsoft said early Q2 of this year for the beta, so that's coming up soon. If you go out and just buy vB now, you'll have the opportunity to get familiar with how to work everything, because admittedly, it's very confusing at first with all of the options. When the beta comes out, you'll be entitled to the download free of charge (Up to 1 year before you need to renew). You'll be able to download the beta, set up a private test forum and see how you like the SEO. If it's not up to what you'd like you can always go out and spend the money on vbSEO also.
If you go for the leased license, you may be losing a month or two of your time before the beta comes out, so I'm not sure if this is the best option in that case. If you happen to choose the owned license, which is definitely best if you're going to have the forum for any more than 1 year, you won't have to worry about running out of time on your license.
