Is there a way to make sure that someone's username is their real name? So instead of registering as jackass23, I'd have to register as "Jack Hass" - assuming my name was actually Jack Hass of course

I know this isn't the way forums usually are but we have a rather "businesslike" application where it's more appropriate for people to use their real names.

I know I can reject people and make them register again but I'd rather try to force it (or at least strongly suggest it) on the registration page.

Thanks
Allen

No ...that's impossible.
Anyone registering can tell you this is my real name......how do you prove otherwise????

I thought there might be a hack that changed the input fields to "firstname" and "lastname" and then constructed the username from those.

Can't believe I'm the first person to want to do it.

Your username is different from your real name that is why. Since forums have been around people have created their own aliases that they go by in order so they dont need to use their name around the net as well as many other reasons of course too ;)
