Hey, my staff and I were thinking of stuff we can do to keep our users entertained and mix things up. We decided to try an Easter Egg Hunt on our site. We'd basically make a board or two that can only be accessed by direct links, and hide "an egg" there... We'd also take a topic that hasn't been posted in for a few months and edit a post to have an egg in it...

We're trying to think of a few other "places" to hide some eggs... What would you guys recommend? Do you think this is a cool idea or just a waste of time?

I think it's a good idea. It's something I have thought about doing for a couple of years now but never got around to doing.

I would add some extra excitement and design an egg 1px x 1px with the pencil tool just to spice things up and kill off their eyes. :D

Jokery aside, Depends on how many posts you have on the forums I personally think it would be a good thing and wouldn't hurt in giving it a try.

Maybe somewhere in the usercp, registration page so they would need to log out. :) why make it easy hey. Somewhere where guests would normally be only able to view it without make it obvious to guests who might give it away.

Hmm... how about make a board that only guests can view, but put it on one of the back tabs... (we have the guest limitation mod, so our users generally log straight in before viewing any of the forums)...

Good idea!

Bump for more ideas...

Also, what other holiday events can you guys suggest? I don't want my members getting bored... :D
