Post Icon Questions

I'm feeling pretty stupid right now but is there some way to change the post icon on an existing post? I sure as heck can't figure it out. :o

Also, why if no icon is checked, does it default to having one?

As a Mod/Admin, just go to Thread Tools > Edit Thread and change it there.
