New Poll button?

hi all

was there ever any way of allowing users to create polls with a click of a button just like creating a new thread? i remember ipb used to have it.

can anyone provide me with examples? i'd like to create a new poll button and i need the code for it

I tried:
forums/poll.php?do=newpoll&f=52

bit it doesn't work that way
