Contact your host as a (D)DOS is best mitigated on network level.

DDoS are not on the software side, you can not protect your site itself, you have to protect the server you're on... DoS attack are related to the host then, so you have to see if in their bundles they guaranty their service with protections in different levels -- and costs.

If you have a fast server then you can withstand small attacks. There is anti-DDOS hardware that you can add, if you can afford it. It is relatively cheap. Some hosts have anti-DDOS protection.
