1.- What's this?







Replace the ugly Memberlist with a nice looking one and add more features like:
Member Ratings
Top Members
Featured Members
Improved Profile view2.- Installation
Upload all files and directories including at "vbulletin" directory to the directory where vBulletin is installed.
Check at your AdminCP->vBulletin Options->Plugin/Hook System that Plugin system is enabled.
From your AdminCP->Plugin System->Manage Products choose Add/Import Product and import the product: product_memberindex.xml
Set the various options at: Member Index Options. If you can't see the menu on the left, press F5. Don't forget to choose which usergroups to show.
If you want to replace your current member list, you must edit the navbar template to point to memberindex.php instead of memberlist.php Otherwise you can add a seperate menu.3.- Copyright

For sure you did something wrong on installation or you missed something. I'm using it on my site with the same vb version.
Have you setup which usergroups to show on the list? You must go to admincp, and choose Usergroups from the menu on the left. You can assign one or multiple usergroups. But at least one is a must to work.

I just visited your site and as I can see you've setup to show Banned usergroup. Even if I support it as good idea to show spammers etc, technically maybe causes problems, as it's not clear what action vB is taking after banning a user (especially for spamming), so the statistics maybe wrong. Try to deactivate this usergroup and check if everything works.

I agree, but in the past I was getting donations $2 or $5 etc. Which means that the only who was getting money was PayPal. In any case, just PM me your email and I'll send you a file to upload which will remove the copyright. No need to donate. If I placed a fix amount it's because I don't like to underestimate the time that I spent.

About the usergroup to show above the mebers:
Set the various options at: Member Index Options. If you can't see the menu on the left, press F5. Don't forget to choose which usergroups to show.

Great mod... I have a few suggestions/requests.

1. The icons at the bottom of the user boxes should have better callouts to explain what functions they perform.

2. Can you integrate additional IM services in options? Specificially I use this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=207129 and would like it to also appear.

3. In options, you can specify the width of an avatar or image. The near-random height of users images/icons cause the user "boxes" to be of variable height which doesnt look good. I recommend an option to "force" all user boxes to be "X" pixels high to make them uniform.

4. The "Memberlist" entry found on the NAVBAR should become a "dropdown" enabled entry that maximizes the usefulness of all the capabilities of this mod.

5. I have two major groups of users... full members and then registered users. I would love to see the ability to have an "additional layer" of users in options to be able to highlight the differences in them.

When you click on the members name, it directs you to their profile. But, the link at the top "forums > Members List" is still the old link. When you click it your directed to the original Member List.

As I seen visiting your site you haven't setup any usergroup to display. That alphabetical bar is displaying only if someone clicks a usergroup to get the list of that usergroup.
Renaming the filename is ok for me, but you need to edit:

product-micromembers.xml (and re-importing it)
memberindex.phpand replace all refferencies to memberindex.php with memberlist.php otherwise you'll get link errors.

Hey,

For those looking for Search Functions and Rating please view Usergroup Permissions. I just realized that there were some there just for this add-on. I never realized that something of this nature existed until I just went there to change something for my moderators. Nice work again!

Some suggestions for upgrades include other widely popular add-ons already (such as reputation power, post thank you, video directory remixed) and push for adding other blocks on the side or in the main page. Some ideas are as follows: "Best Thread Starters", "Most Social Groups", "Most Active Blogs", Most Rep Power", "Most Thanked Member" and "Members w/Most Videos" would be a nice features to have.

For improvements I think you guys should add the "rate user" function should be added other aspects of the forums as well. For instance, adding it to the users profile or their post-bit would be really easy way to rack up the ratings. Additionally, if there was a way to include the "rate user" alongside the search function you guys currently use - it would be off the wall insane. Making it a great deal easier to rate the user instead of jumping through pages and pages to get to your friends.

It would also increase the amount of variance and push this add-on really far up. But I'm sure you've already planned things out for some newer and much more refined releases, if not these are some things you should consider. I'm not sure of the legality of using other peoples add-ons but I believe for the sake of your page, you should try it!

How is possible? I'm also using it and everything is calculating correctly. Can you be a bit more specific where the wrong calculation exists? eg on the total posts, or at the percentage, or what?

It's not statistics. They're real time calculations. But really I can't understand where is the your problem. I visited your site and clicked most of profiles showing 0 posts. I checked their original vB profile. In Statistics tab (which is vB routine), is showing exactly the same numbers: 0 posts.

ahaa... seems that I got you wrong. Do you mean that the numbers are correct, but instead to show A,B,C members who are top posters, it shows F,G,Z members with less posts?

Before do a check, I want to know something very important. Are these Top posters maybe in Admin or Moderator usergroups? If yes, then it working well. Top posters's routine dosen't includes Admins and Moderators in the query. Hope that you'll agree with me, but has no sence to include them, as due to their position will be always on top. I developed this mod as a way to push members for more posts. If they're seeing there always the admins they'll loose interest to post.

My site is sort of been rebuilt and my members are still mad that they lost all the stuff they had and that they had to re register.. So it is slow restarting.. That answers my Q though.. As I thought, Shar-she is Moderator. Sorry but Moderators are not including on the Top users. Sure, if you don't agree with my approach on coding, it's very easy to modify your code to include them. Just think if it's fair for the members to be always at the back.

First of all, if you want to give credit to your Moderators like you did with your Admins, by having a special block for them, then goto microMEMBERS options and activate "Special Group". Then just below enter the usergroup id for them. Finally give a title for the box eg "Meet your ...Draculas:D)

As for the code modification. Yes, in all Top poster blocks, only registered users (usergroupid=2) appear there. Till the time to add it in options blocks you can edit file memberidex.php (with a text editor like Notepad).

Search for:

// Month's Top Posters
// Overall Top Postersin all cases, some lines below you'll find:

WHERE usergroupid=2

modify it by adding:

I replied to you by PM. As I don't know how everyone names the installation folder (eg forum, forums etc etc), I named my folder vbulletin. So any files and directories there, must be upload in the folder that you've install vBulletin.

Looks great! My only suggestion would be on the MemberIndex to have the "Meet Our ..." sections actually link to the usergroup pages. My Admins, Special Usergroups, etc obviously only show how many specified in the options but both groups have more than those 4 users. That way it'd all tie together a little more. :)

In the AdminCP, you'll need to go to the User Group permissions for each group and manually adjust the user permissions for the MicroMembers add-on. One of the options specifically is whether or not to allow contacting via IM - by default it's set to no so I'm sure that's why it's showing them as all greyed out. Another option is the ability to mark a user as featured - again, off by default. Once it's set to Yes, you will see a button on the same row as all the IM icons but left aligned (very bottom left corner of each user block) that says "Mark user as featured" :)

That's why I've added lots of switches to turn on/off. The most heavy query is that one for Top posters last week.

Any idea about that?! is it normal?

I've post it before (or maybe in another thread). I've added as many blocks as I thought that maybe are interesting to endusers. But of course I know that in high volume sites this will slow down the server. That's why I've placed switches to turn off most of these blocks.
If it helps you, the most heavy query is that one which shows the top posters last week. I think that top posters of month is enought, so turn it off (at least this one).

First, I think theres a small hic up in the code in memberindex.php when calculating the months top posters

Is the $timelimit being set to 30 lots of a week? should it not be 30*24*60*60 ie 30 days of 24 hours etc rather than 30 weeks of 7 days....



Secondly, I have four levels of mods on my forum, but can only have two listed, can I add another 2 groups by simply 'copying' the code for the second block and amending were needed, ie ...admin2, admin3 etc.

Would this cause problems with your copyright etc?

my Navbar template has been changed but the link is still showing as incorrect.

First of all, if you want to give credit to your Moderators like you did with your Admins, by having a special block for them, then goto microMEMBERS options and activate "Special Group". Then just below enter the usergroup id for them. Finally give a title for the box eg "Meet your ...Draculas:D)

As for the code modification. Yes, in all Top poster blocks, only registered users (usergroupid=2) appear there. Till the time to add it in options blocks you can edit file memberidex.php (with a text editor like Notepad).


Search for:
// Week's Top Posters
// Month's Top Posters
// Overall Top Postersin all cases, some lines below you'll find:

WHERE usergroupid=2

modify it by adding:

WHERE usergroupid=2 OR usergroupid=.....

You can add even more on the same style like:

WHERE usergroupid=2 OR usergroupid=9 OR usergroupid=10

Where exactly is the line to change on membersindex.php to add more the one user group to be showed on administrators block. I have two levels (two different usergroups) and they are not properlly showed. I tried also to use the Special Group box but it's only accept one usergroup at the time, I mean I can't set up two or three users groups just like separeting them with commas. Any tip ?

If I am not mistaken, you need to pick which members who you want to be featured but I will check just to be sure. The icon is to the left just under their avatar/profile picture.

Today I decided to let all my modules here unsupported, as I seen that most members dosen't respects my work, the time that I spent to develope and support them. Worst of all they don't respect even the laws.

I didn't asked anything in exchange. No money, not even to register in my site as most other developers ask for. What I asked, and I was expecting to find from their side, is a small gredit to me as a person, by letting my copyright in place.

Unfortunatelly, doing a simple search in Google (anybody can check it) for "vbulletin memberindex" I found dozens of sites having removed my copyright. Thank you all of you my dear. You're giving a shit to the only rule that I put. But I'm wondering why you don't dare to remove Jelsoft's copyright. Because it's a big company while I'm just a single person, much more, a woman. My congratulations men!!

well it looks like you won't get any help from the developer so...

I think you have the same problem I did,you have usergroups that you created other than the default "registered members" group
you need to define these groups in the memberidex.php
file of the addon

Open memberidex.php and look for the lines // Week's Top Posters // Month's Top Posters and // Overall Top Posters under those lines you will find

WHERE usergroupid=2

now you wanna add the groupids of your custom groups
like this

WHERE usergroupid=2 OR usergroupid=x OR usergroupid=x

replace the x's with the ids of your groups,you can find the group id by going in your admin cp and navigating to "Usergroups/Usergroup Manager"

save the file and reupload it and it should now show the posters from all your groups

I've altered it a little as it was an eyesore as it was, but your link is still clearly in sight, that would never change for as long as I use your mod, I never remove copyright, it's disrespectful.

First I'd like to thank you for the mod,.- it definitely makes the members page look a whole lot tidier, that's for sure. I've noticed that this mod is now unsupported :(,.- but after reading the last 10 pages for an answer to my problem,.- I don't blame you. -down.lowI noticed, (well I think), users are having the same problem as me but haven't been to clear about explaining the issue at hand. So here's my problem, (as I said I know it's unsupported so I guess this will be feedback).

My calculations for "Top Posters Last Month" & "top Posters Overall" are a little fudged- well the overall is. here's a picture to show what I mean:

My forum has been open for 41 days now,.- from the picture above the months posters are most likely correct,.-

For the month, the user has 1624 post out of 30181-

For the total of overall days, the user has 938 post out of 30181-

The "out of" amount for the month should be lower then the overall "out of" amount- but I managed to fix this one from post #89 of this thread.

The users total post for "overall" should be higher then "month" considering that it should be calculating from day 1 of the forum opening, not only the month at hand. Sorry if I'm not making any sense, but if anyone has had this problem and has managed to fix it,.- I'd be really greatful if you could lend me a hand.

Finally seems to be more complicated than what I was expecting. Seems that vBulletin codes all forum options in a 5 digits number with field name "options" (table forum). I did some check in vb code but I wan unable to find a section for it.

There is a way to resolve this problem, if you've same options for the forums that you don't count posts. If you're familiar with phpMyAdmin check the values in field "option". If it's the same, then just give me that 5 digit number and I'll modify your code to have correct results.

If not, the last that I can do, it to modify your code which counts the overall posts at least to have the hidden posts counting there too. Currently, for overall I'm getting the number from user table and not from post table as I'm doing for week and month.

It would be great, I'm getting the same issue here, not a big deal, we could live with that but as we do have a few forums like off-topic ones not counting posts, it's affecting your mod page.

It would be great, I'm getting the same issue here, not a big deal, we could live with that but as we do have a few forums like off-topic ones not counting posts, it's affecting your mod page.

It happens to me once but in one of my PHP scripts and not in vB. Can you provide with a screenshoot? There is a possibility to be the same issue which comes out from wrong upload. Actually it can't find the javascript which shows the images in popup.

Finally seems to be more complicated than what I was expecting. Seems that vBulletin codes all forum options in a 5 digits number with field name "options" (table forum). I did some check in vb code but I wan unable to find a section for it.

There is a way to resolve this problem, if you've same options for the forums that you don't count posts. If you're familiar with phpMyAdmin check the values in field "option". If it's the same, then just give me that 5 digit number and I'll modify your code to have correct results.

If not, the last that I can do, it to modify your code which counts the overall posts at least to have the hidden posts counting there too. Currently, for overall I'm getting the number from user table and not from post table as I'm doing for week and month.

I'm Greek, Woman, and ... Blonde !! The worst combination for someone stubborn as a mule:) Well, I checked another 2 addons here, showing Top posters. They've the same problem. They count hidden posts too. But I found a solution to solve the problem. As I can't find by coding, which forums are not counting on posts, I'll add an option in admincp where you can setup like 4,17,21 the forums that they don't count. Then it's easy for me to change the query, so you'll get real statistics.

It's not about "general question". It's all about "general details". By saying not working what exactly do you mean? Can't see anything? or are you seeing something wrong?
Also for the URL. It dosen't works when you click the menu option only? eg if you try to access memberindex.php directly from your browse, is it working?

ah yes it does work when i point browser to memberindex.php. But I dont see it anywhere when im trying to access it from my page. So its there and working. Now how do i get it to show up. Looks great too!!!!

If you want it to replace your current memberlist, then you need to go into your navbar template and replace memberlist.php with memberindex.php

I got it..there were two memberindex.php I had to change...I missed one. It works now

There are some mods for country flags on this forum, maybe you cvould take a look at them and see if you can integrate that in your mod !
