Make Members post Before Voting on a Poll?

How do I make members have to post before they can vote on a poll? is there a hack for this? or can I do it through a template edit?

Do you mean have a post to the thread that has the poll or do you mean they must have a post on the forum before they can vote on any poll?

Post in the thread containing the poll.

Example:

There is a Sig of the week competition, People enter, there is a poll made, people vote but don't give feedback, this makes the designers not want to enter as they think that no-one likes their sig.

People vote but not post, when it is my belief that they should have to POST in that thread before they can vote for the sig they like best.

Yes, that isn't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for them to have to actually post in the poll thread before voting.

Again Mikey I completely agree. Or at the very least require them to post a reply WHEN voting.
