Password Protected Forum

I was wondering if anyone could help me out by telling me how to make a password protected forum. The admin/mod only visible mode is great, but I have news reporters at my site that need to see the Staff Forums as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This feature isn't available.

Why don't you just give the news reporters access to those forums? It's easy enough to do by editing their access masks.

Will this feature be available in the next version ? I relly need this feature because I have a xxx forum on my board and I need the password protection (you know adult only) The password can be found behind a security gate afte an age check. I am not able to check the age of all users to put them in an extra usergroup. Someone told me there is an sililar hack available but I can´t find it with the search engine.

Afterburner I had found your older hack and tried it, but personally I don't like the cookie support (it is sometimes buggy) can you make one that requires users to log in each time they try to access the page?
