news announcements

so I've looked everywhere and I can't find how to hide/remove the news announcements that show in top of all the forums. I want to get rid of it but I just can't

can someone tell me how it can be removed or deactivated.

What news announcements? Perhaps a link to your site so we can see it ourselves would help.

sorry I should've been more specific.

www.fifamexico.net/foros (http://www.fifamexico.net/foros) just change to any of the other skins and you will see it. in current the default skin someone removed it...

I just realized you have to be logged in to see it here's a screen instead:

That's from a modification. Just turn it off, or disable it, and it will go away. (Check the similar threads under this post).

ahh and here I'm thinking it's standard funtionality. been pulling my hair for a while, I guess I should've checked there first... anyway.... Thanks!
