Well this morning, like every morning, I have gone to check that every is ticking over fine on my site.
However, this morning rather than seeing the usual site, I am presented with a standard "database error" page. However...
I can't get into ACP as I get the error.
I have disabled all hooks via config.php and still get the error (define('DISABLE_HOOKS', 1);)
Oh dear, thinks I, what now?
So has anybody got any ideas on what to try?

Well it looks like mysql is down, so in the process of diagnosing that, oh joy
