New User Group

How do I set it so that new users are automatically placed in the new user group I set up? Im trying to cut down on awful spammers. Thanks!

New users automatically go into usergroup 2 (by default called the Registered Users group). What you want to do is create a new group for your 'trusted' users (Promote them there after x posts or x days) and then modify usergroup 2 to cut back on the spammer.
