Oh why not? :)
I am not a big fan of making massive changes and template edits that make upgrading a royal pain but in gearing my forum up for its coming peak season, I've come up with some new styles that my users can pick from.
I know that dark skins aren't the most popular so I have two dark and two light ones. I've set the default to one of the dark ones and think it is just annoying enough to fit the somewhat snarky and irreverent tone of my site. I am still continuing to flesh my new themes out and have more icons to replace etc., but would appreciate some suggestions and feedback.
My main website is about motorsports and the forums an add on for user discussion. Naturally, it is somewhat seasonal but we're about ready to kick off a big promotion and some advertising to get the ball rolling again.
Have a look:

I love the green and black together. works perfectly. the side columns make the site a little too busy IMO.

Thanks for the feedback!
It didn't take but one suggestion (yours!) to pull off one of my side columns. It doesn't seem as symmetrical but is less clutter, I suppose. :)

I would remove the "powered by vbulletin" in your title tag as the first suggestion :)

Heck, I thought I did that a long time ago? I just now looked for it and don't know where to edit it. :o

I don't like the banner myself, the pictures of those 3 guys, on the left hand side. Plus, in the monster style, I hate the purple navigation, it doesn't seem to go with the monster theme. Plus, I find your other styles don't look good together at all (the shades/colors).
Sorry, may be brutal, but just being honest to try to help you.

Thanks, Winterworks. The guy you don't like in the banner is supposed to obnoxious and is the theme carried over from my website. He's the Head Doober! It's part of the schtick and honestly, things are supposed to be extreme and moderately garish.
As far as the purple navbar and panel surrounds...I love it! Tell Kawasaki that green and purple don't go together. :) As far as my two light styles, the blue one is nearly vBulletin default and the grey one is really pretty innocent. The one called Urangish is indeed ugly as heck but that was my first attempt at doing anything different at all and the one I used learning what all the settings do.
I appreciate your feedback. For what it's worth, I am not a designer, not a coder and not a web developer. In fact, I'm really a noob that just wanted to give my users something other than the standard vB color scheme without a ton of template changes or a custom skin.

No problem.
Also, the status icons, on each style, change completely. They change shape, color, and everything. They should all be the same image maybe, but just in a different color for each style, so they kind of match somewhat.
I also think the left hand obnoxious guy looks fairly ugly, and in my own opinion, think you need a new logo thing. But keep it if you wish. I just find it very bad quality, and doesn't match anything.
edit: the perky blue style actually looks good. But again, change what I mentioned above. That, and the Monster style are the only two that should be kept imo. The others don't match at all.

Well, I guess there's two schools of thought on this. I didn't want each one to match or flow with the other ones and intended them to all be as uniquely different as possible.
With that being said, my only unifying element is the ugly guy you love so much. :) He's a character, my "hook" if you will and what puts the Doob in DooberVille. The forum is just an add-on to the parent website where Mr. Ugly is the star of the show. He is fundamental to my overall experience and is supposed to be ugly, opinionated and a fan of beer and donuts (and motorsports)
Thanks again for your time. I wouldn't have posted here if I didn't want comments.

I don't mean the guy himself looks ugly! :p I know he does, but when I said that, I meant the placement looked bad.

Oh. :o
What would you suggest? My banner is fluid with the left and right sections fixed and a flexy middle. I originally came up with this when I first started my forum and recently just made the different colored ones without really giving thought to how I could make it look better. An artist or Pshop expert I'm not. :D
Thanks again. I'll look into what I might change, especially if you or someone else offers suggestions of what would be better.

you will want to search the phrases for "powered" and you'll find it, remove everything but the

:)

Thank you, Loco.M, got it fixed.
See, this review thing was a good idea after all.

I like the forum! To keep members all year round, you might want to add an off-topic area.

Thanks, fattony69. I do have an off topic section that I tried post things in that would get a response and in fact, at the end of the racing season even expanded it and tried to open up some specific topics like sci-fi on TV and other social subjects and it was a whopping flop.
In my recent tune-up, I pared things down to one general BS forum and combined several forums together to make the board smaller and easier to navigate.
Thanks again, all, for your suggestions.
