I've looked and haven't seen a mod to remove or hide that message. I even tried a few of the mods.

That's odd. I could've sworn there was a mod cuz I have done this on my forum. However, I can't find a plugin for it, so I must have done a code change. I know I don't like the solution I did cuz it doesn't renumber the posts, so it's obvious there are posts missing. I think I did the quick hack job on it cuz a couple users wanted it and didn't care if the hack job wasn't good.
