Wow, could that post have been any more spammy looking?

My first impression is your forum index is way too overloaded.
Maybe it might be an idea to hide some of the subforums, so they don't appear unless you click on them?

I looked at it from the perspective of someone who has never been to the site before trying to find some specific information.

The first thing is that you need to be able to see the Forum category clearer, at the moment it's tiny white text inside a light grey box. I'd make the font bigger and make it a color that stands out better.

Your forums seem to blur together on the homepage, it's very hard to tell where one ends and the next one begins. Maybe darken the border around each forum so you can tell them apart better? And get rid of the tiny icons next to each forum, the New Posts, New Thread, Subscribe and RSS feeds? They clutter it up too much.

A lot of your forum categories have the word "Section", like "Product Software Support Section". Get rid of the word "Section", it's not necessary :)

Maybe something like this?

It's not a big change, but it makes the forum easier to read. It's obvious by the huge number of keywords that you've crammed into your TITLE that you care about SEO, getting rid of any unnecessary keywords will actually improve your results.

I noticed you have 2 Google ads at the bottom of your forum, on every page.

Maybe move 1 of them to the top instead? You'll make a lot more money that way!

No need to put them inside a "Sponsored Links" box, just put them on the page (maybe edit your Ad Locations templates and put it just underneath the navbar?)

It might be worth consolidating some of your forums, maybe instead of having:

Symbian S60 3rd Edition Apps
Symbian S60 3rd Edition Games
Symbian S60/80/90 Apps
Symbian S60/80/90 Games

you can have:

Symbian Apps
Symbian Games

on the homepage, and then have subforums under each one called:

Symbian S60 3rd Edition
Symbian S60/80/90

or something like that?

I'm sure it will make your life easier having less forums to worry about reading and moderating, it will make your forum much easier to manage!

Plus you won't turn off potential members who say "this forum is too confusing, I'm leaving!" :)
