ok im designer theme for VB and i realllllly hate the dang copywrite on the bottom in text format ... so he is my question is it still ok if i remove that TExt copywrite ..but Replace that text copywrite and put it on and Actual image in the footer as seen below
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/02/3.jpg
is this still Legit? i mean the copywrite IS still intact just in a different form

I asked the same question over on vBulletin.com and after a LOT of BS (and rude comments) from them about not making an "official" statement the general consensus is that an image is an acceptable alternative to the hideous default.

well thanks for that and i agree the default (pardon my french) SUX specially if you make themes (as i do) i want my thems to be full screen nothing under ,over ,to the side give the site and theme a better overall feel
although i would like an answer from one of the big dogs here

Good Luck with that, I tried for a week with the big dogs from Jelsoft and got dogged by one of the self appointed spokesperson nitwit that had a lot of mouth but no clue, LOL.
According to Colin F, its "alledgedly" a valid procedure though I still think its not "legal" without an "official" position statement from Jelsoft/InternetBrands.
See for yourself: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294798&highlight=copyright+image.
BTW, according to what I have read here recently, I think vBulletin.org has no Jelsoft company policy responsibility. From what I understand they are a separate entity and can not make decisions about or speak authoritatively concerning Jelsoft company policy. So don't expect too much from here about it. Pretty sure that vBulletin.com is the official Jelsoft channel, fyi.
I might be wrong but I don' t think so and would be glad to hear about it if I am.

This should be discussed on vB.com, but the image you are showing is for sure NOT allowed as the text is hardly readible because of your color choice.
