I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section, but I was wondering if there was a way to update a forum skin to the latest vbulletin version. If so, how is it done. Thanks in advance!

Where in the admincp would you go for this? I am not the one who would be doing it. It would be my webmaster which is why I am asking. The current skin I have, I have about 2 mods that arent working properly and it is because I need to update the skin.
Thanks in advance for the additional help.

oh that is totally different if mod is not working ....
if a mod needs update you just have to go to plugins in the main screen plugins and products and then plugin manager and most of the time you can click on the plugin that needs updated or has issues ..it will take you to webpage where you can download new one
if you need to upload your forum skin you can just do that in main screen ..yo uwill see out of date templates found ..and click to view and then you can go from there adn edit template and compare the new and old

o no, the mod isn't what is needing updating. It is the template itself that needs updating.

Go to edit the template and hit the View History link. Then hit Compare on the next screen to compare your current template to the default vb one. You can then hit Side-by-side comparison on the next screen (I like that method better than the default).

I found the edit template part, but cant seem to find the "View History" link.

View History will only be available if the template was actually modified.

Well what I am looking to do is find a way to update the template so it will be compatible with version 3.8.1.
This way all my mods will work perfectly with it.

If the template is already up-to-date - meaning exactly the same as the default Jelsoft one - then is has not been modified and therefore there is no reason to compare it to the default Jelsoft one since it is exactly the same.

No, the current theme I have at www.tmcgforums.com is not the same version as the forum software that I am currently running. Which is what I am having an issue with currently. The place my webmaster and I got it from, doesnt have 3.8.1 templates.

If a template in your style is different than the default Jelsoft one, it will be shown in red. Those are the templates you need to go Edit and hit View History > Compare with and then edit your templates to be up-to-date. If the template name is NOT in red, then it is just fine and already up-to-date (because it was just a default template in the first place).

Thanks, Lynne. I will let my webmaster know this once he comes online, as I wouldn't even know how to make it up to day if it was in red. Thanks again for the info.

My template has now been updated and all mods are working fully thanks to mmoore5553. He told me straight up what he wanted done, and even asked me to create a test forum so in case he messed up some how it would not effect my main forum. I did so.
He informed me that he would work on it today (Monday) as he was not around his main computer on the weekend and he did so as promised.
He also provided me his cell phone number in case I wanted to call him to verify him being real and not a rip off artist.
If anyone needs any updates or help for their forum, you can definitely trust this guy.
I would also like to thank Lynne. She was correct in how to identify if a template was already up to date with the latest version of vbulletin.
