Prevent Live Links From Being Posted

By using this modification, you can prevent live links from being posted.
Just a simple modification I made for you guys to use, just import it and your done!

This gives the user and error if their post contains URL or EMAIL tags.

Hm..should be working fine, try making a new post and put something like this in it and see what it says.

[URL=http://www.vbulletin.org]vBulletin.ORG[/URL.]

If you put your links into code tags like this,

http://www.vbulletin.org

It will give you an error.

I dont quite understand this mod myself ?
But it would Be cool if you could add usergroup options to allow or disallow certain urls regardless of being inbetween code tags or not ?
Ive just tryed this with V3.8.1 aswell, tryed urls/ email addys in and not inbetween code tags
and its not working :(

Dam this could be very usefull aswell.

So does this prevent the links from being parsed (ie surrounded by A HREF tags?), or does it block you from posting any text that starts with "http://www"?

If I wanted people to stop posting links, I would:
Go into Admin CP->vBulletin Options->BB Code Settings
and then I would disable the Links BBCode:
95606

So then if I was to make a post like this (with 3 forms of links):
http://www.google.com

google (http://www.google.com)

http://www.google.com

I would get this:
95607

If I wanted to stop the URL from coming up at all, I could always just add "http://www" to my censored word list, so if someone tried posting a link to a website it would show up as:
**********.google.com instead of http://www.google.com
Or ***.google.com instead of www.google.com

It seems much easier than installing another mod when vBulletin has the functionality built in.
