Hi, I'm a new vB user (3.8.1) and I am getting the hang of it, but I have one problem that I can't seem to solve:

When I try to register on one laptop, I cannot log-in, it just tries and puts me back at the forum homepage again unlogged in. If I use any other computers (using the same wireless or hardwired from work) I have no problems. I kinda think it happened as I was doing multiple admin tasks and then logged out of one window and logged in as a standard user for testing purposes. I cleared my cookies and such, restarted the computer (many times) and it still seems to hang there and not let me in. I am assuming it's in my laptop and not vBulletin. Has anyone seen this?

Thanks.

It sounds like your laptop doesnt have cookies enabled

If you are using IE, you should check the "security level" (set it to the lowest for testing).

@dmknights: vBulletin will work without cookies perfectly fine.

@dismounted if cookies are not enabled on your pc/laptop, you do not stay logged in

Registration should be ok. As far as Im aware registration only uses post data not cookies to pass the data through.
