How to insert Adsense into a post?

I would like to include an adsense rectangle inside the first post of certain threads I create.

I've tried to just paste in the code, but it doesn't work right.

How can I do this?

You'd need allow HTML to be used in posts.

I tried to allow html, but vb inserted <br> tags and it no longer worked.
