View Full Version : Add-On Releases - Replace Buddy Icon (3.8.x)

This hack replaces the ugly "+" icon that denots "User is on your buddy list" with something a little nicer

Installation:

1) Download the attached image

2) Upload attached image to "yourdomain.com/images/statusicon" folder.

In forumhome_loggedinuser find:
$stylevar[dirmark]<a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$loggedin[userid]">$loggedin[musername]</a>$loggedin[invisiblemark]$loggedin[buddymark]


and replace with:
$stylevar[dirmark]<a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$loggedin[userid]" rel="nofollow">$loggedin[musername]</a>$loggedin[invisiblemark]<if condition="$loggedin[buddymark]"><img src="/images/statusicon/buddy.gif" alt="User is on your buddy list"></if>


In whosonlinebit find:
<strong>+</strong>


and replace with:
<img src="/images/statusicon/buddy.gif" alt="User is on your buddy list">

I can't find <strong>+</strong> in whosonlinebit

only reference to + is this line

<a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">$userinfo[musername]</a>$userinfo[hidden]<if condition="$show['buddy']">+</if>

then change the red marked with:

That one would be in the WHOSONLINE Templete the in the whosonlinebit find + and replace with
<img src="/images/statusicon/buddy.gif" alt="User is on your buddy list">

tried that but no change. I do have the new image on the bottom of the main screen, just not in the forum threads themselves. Thanks though.

Very nice one! Was a pain for my eyes this "+" and I was to lazy to fixx it. lol :)

1. This is a template modification, not an add-on.

it's not the same, but if u think you have to report this, feel free and do that... this is immature in my opinion...
