I have figured out that I can automatically "promote" someone with a low reputation to a banned usergroup. But is there a way to automatically let them out of the penalty box after so many days?

Thanks

Thanks. I knew I could do it for individual users. But is there a way I can have it go completely automatically. When a user reaches -20 reputation points, he is automatically moved to the penalty box for seven days and then automatically moved back into the general population after that time? I'd really prefer not to have to do it one at a time.

Of course there is a way. ;) However, that functionality is not in a default installation of vBulletin, so you will have to find a modification that does this, create your own, or hire someone to do it.
