Cute Forum
Just a couple of things but this is just my preference .
Yoshi is cool but you have too much of this. The background is too much.
Your status icons are too big
Your header is too small.
Other than that I think your forum has nice colors and clean.
Good luck:)

I like the style in general (Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS are fantastic games, so I definitely wanted to see this forum style). However, while it looks good, I have a few criticisms of it, albeit most being minor:
The forums containing new posts and not containing new posts icons are different sized, so the key looks kinda off as a result.
The background should ideally be centered or fixed, because it repeats on any remotely wide browser screen.
The active users and stats icons are default. Considering the amount of Yoshi based images and gif icons you can find online, that won't be very hard to fix. Or the use of two sprites from the series, the Yoshi's Island series does have more than Yoshi you know!
But other than that, it generally looks good.

the background is the main problem for me.Like cheatmaster says - its needs to be a fixed background.

This might fix it, so add this to the CSS properties to make it stay fixed while the page scrolls:
background-attachment: fixed;

No problem. Now I'm assuming just make the statistics and users online icons fit the theme, and it'd be ready to release.
Edit: Never mind, you updated said icons.

Background doesn't stretch to the full width of my screen (why would it) that would distort the background image. Regardless of that on higher resolutions, you have blue space where the image should be.
Forum status icons imo are way to big. imo. Why not simpy crop an image of yoshi and either distinguish the new/nonew with an opacity options or dynamic differences. For consistency, why not have them the same dimensions? the nonew/new are different sizes.
The collapse tcat/thead icons are hard to see, re-coloured icons would be nice to distinguish them from the background. Or, add a drop shadow so they are a little prominent and easy for us short sighted users to make out. (not the kissing making out).
I think the vbulletin stock buttons you re-coloured really look visually awfull. Not to mention when applied upon the background (picture of yoshi) redundant white matting shows. I'd suggest using something custom or opting for another format that supports true transparency (hint: .png) or if none of the above appeal to you then remove the buttons all together which would result in nobody being able to post.
Overall, I don't like the theme, the colours are yukky, saturated and there's a lot of images with redundant white edging when it should be transparent and/or smooth for a crispier/sharper look.

Just checked, and yeah, you should probably change the button images to match the theme more, the default stock ones are way overused. And maybe change this as well:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
(I'm gonna sound so stupid when that image is changed and this post makes no sense whatsoever).

Why remove it? why not simply replace/overwrite the post icons that are both consistent with the theme and break out the styles. Last time i checked the style needs broken out from the saturated feel (alt1 & alt2) and a nice set of snazzy post icons would only do the theme justice amongst other changes implementations.

Erm, yes, I meant kinda that the post would make no sense if they just overwrote it, since it'd affect the use of the image in my post that says it needs to be changed. Or something, I'm confused. But never the less, definitely agree with changing the post icons, I've not seen enough styles using ones other than the defaults personally.

It's getting better. The padlock within the closed forum status icon is made for a black background (thus the black matte showing on the right hand side), Remove that so the image is crisp/sharper. Lastpost vbulletin stock icon is still present. why not remove this for a nice looking nintendo themed icon?
Speaking of the forum icons the forum_old to be specific where you've applied a re-coloured layer is overlapping the yoshi character. Keep any adjustment layer within the boundaries of the images for a cleaner/crispier look.
I'd remove the moderator column. There's no moderators showing in them and imo it's a waste of width space where it would be better spent spanning the other key areas (like the forum description). Remove the moderators column
