Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with an avatar display problem. We mostly use the living avatar system on our forum, but whether members use that or another avatar for some reason any members who had joined before last July are stuck with the avatar they had then on a number of areas and mods including the mini statistics, friends lists and visitor message areas. Yet in the posts themselves the current avatars are displayed. Does anyone know why we would still be seeing the old avatars in some areas even though some have been changed multiple times since then?
thanks for any help

Take a look at the source code. See where the image is pointing. Then look at the templates and see what is spitting it out.

thanks, it looks like the problem is in the url for thumbnails - just trying to identify the where these links are and what the url should be instead now

Well, you haven't given any more information. I said you should check the source code for the urls for the images. You said you did and it looks like the thumbnail urls are the problem. But, you never clarified anything.
Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:
Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
SaveThen browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?
Try turning off the living avatar modification. Are the avatars correct then? If so, you really need to post in the living avatar modification thread for help.
