You have fat fingered the config.php file, this should be the first line in config.php
<?php
Just upload a default config.php file and re-edit the file with the proper db info.
Possible that when you edited the lines you did, you accidently deleted the closing ' for the user & passwd or db info lines.

You already tried what?
Attach your config.php, edit out your pass info of course., so we can see whats in the file.
What did you edit the file with and did you re-upload it in ascii mode?

It's definitely a problem with your config.php file. You did something unexpected, and unwanted, to it. Make sure you aren't starting it with a blank line or space and that you aren't editing it with some editor that adds extra stuff into it. Just a plain text editor.

I cant see anything wrong with that file, try uploading it again, and then re-download it and make sure it still looks ok.

I downloaded it and checked and it is fine
Just out of curiousity should the file be in the includes folder,thats where I put it.
