Picture images attached displayed in Firefox but not IE

I noticed that thumbnails are viewed in firefox for image attachments but not in Internet explorer. Can this be changed somehow?

Ok I noticed it does not display the thumbnails when you are not logged in. Is there a reason for this? It looks better with the thumbnails even for the guests.

That I know of you need to set Can Download Attachments in Forum Viewing Permissions for Unregistered / Not Logged In (guests). The post's thumbnail, if any, is then displayed for guests. But, if you don't want guests freely downloading attachments, well.... Maybe there's another way to do this. Anyone?
