Is there a way to set only 1 account per ip address?

An IP address is not specific to one particular computer.
It often covers a whole area of a country......do you really want to do that?

There is a mod called a *something* detector (I think) and it will make a thread in a forum specific is a user registers and that IP has already been used for registration. Well, I think that's what it does, I don't use it, but read the description in the thread.

It's called "Multiple Login Detector".
It doesn't use the Ip address....but uses a cookie to determine a second registration from the same computer.
It doesn't prevent the registration....but informs you that it has happened.
Useful if you have recently banned a member.
