Does anybody know of a good email newsletter add-on for vbulletin?

It should
- send out emails to the members in both html and text format
- offer an opt-out link in the email with which users can easily opt-out of the newsletter emails.

I know I could just use the vb email system for this. But it does not offer an easy way for people to opt-out. Opt-out should be done just by clicking a link in the email, and not by having to log in and change the settings.

I can also pay for this mod, but I thought I'd ask for a free one, first.

Unless you have a small membership database sending out emails over http (i.e. through a vbulletin admin) is an extremely inefficient and potentially risky way to deliver messages. The most successful way to accomplish your goals is to work to integrate your membership database with a third party provider like Constant Contact or Vertical Response. This way you can get the power of their external email systems while controlling your list through vBulletin fields and pages.

Check out my profile for a light version, or www.provb.org for a paid/premium version of Community Newsletter.

The light version is a good way to test it out (although limited on features) and is supported every-so often (last support response given yesterday). The premium version is only available at ProvB and is 100% supported as well.

I think there are a few other systems around here as well if none of these suite your needs ;)

Or just generate your email then send it out from the account you makeup as sender-

generate mailing list in vbadmin and post that into BCC

tadaa. emails out, unless your sending everyday it could be a hassle,
but who sends out mails each day, ofc some do, but that also puts u
on the spam list. :p
