WOW. Very distracting background bro.

Is it too "intense". In the sense of the colors? Could those be toned down?

^^ I included a screen shot for a reason, I'm trying to say that it's hard to read the text over the background.

I would recommend making a 1x1 semi-transparent repeating pixel of either gray or white and using that as the table background. That was people can read your text and still see the background through it.

...Add this to First Alternating Color of the style's CSS:
url(http://www.beercandleforums.com/images/09/dot.png) repeat;Once you get the main idea make your own 1x1 and remove mine.
You will also need to do this for Second Alternating Color, I would use a different color so it doesnt look too plain.

Use a program like Photoshop or Paint.NET (free) to make the semitransparent pixels

I can appreciate someone submitting a style which could be classed as mediocre through the work they put into it but this style is absolutely hideous. It looks like you gave up before you even started (and browsing through your other styles) I have to say the same about them. Applying a background whilst making colour changes to links is not what I view as being a completed style. The colours clash with the background (on the index page) and the logo looks a little (I couldn't be bothered) Infact, I think i put more into this review than you did to your style.

First impressions is eye candy, good colour usage. Easy navigation and layout structure. You have none of these ad this will hamper growth for your forum. Anyone in their right mind will view your site and walk away from it.

Take a look in the styles database (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=212) if your not savy in creating vbulletin styles. Maybe look in the graphic database (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=213) for relevant images which fit your needs, for the niche your interested in with regards to your forum.

As it stand and my own personal view on your style it's about the worst style I've reviewed, even worse than the vbulletin stock style which is saying a lot.

It reminds me of the thousands of kids on like, myspace or something.

You know, the ones who just learned how to copy the body {} from a sites css page, and now they are a "great web designer" who creates all of their friends myspaces for them, and they're all really terrible? The same color text over some massive background that has mostly the same colors as the text.. You have to hit ctl + a just to read it.

That's what it reminds me of. This is just poor. The background repeats on larger resolutions and makes it look even worse, and the clouds at the header / footer just don't work.

Even as a seasoned vBulletin / forum user, I am still completely confused as to where to click and navigate through your website. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to a newbie.

All that being said, it's fine to try new things out. I'm sure you're just now learning how to do this stuff on your own (or at least it seems like it), and that's a great thing. Just don't put this stuff up live.. you're going to scare a lot of people away.

Now its working right.

The background image clashes with the font color. The background image stands out, but the font does not stand out enough. You have this powerful background image, with font that fades into it.

I"m asking you about the background. If you have a comment about it fine. As afar anything else goes if I want your opinion I'll ask for it.

How about this: If you don't want feedback on your forum style, don't post it. Posting it here is asking for opinions, so you know.. you did ask for it afterall.

Background is dominating and I can't read text. This would be a neat concept with the right background and text modifications.

Thanks. Since the background is going to be fairly bright the text going to be hard to read. So I have to figure that out.

Free Sunglasses for every member :D

Only joking buddy, Its a great picture but it takes the interest away from the actual forum, What you need to decide is what type of people would happily use a forum like this?? and would they use it at all??

I saw the background first, then i blinked and caught the forum surely this has to be the other way round??

Good luck with what you decide to do

LOL - wipes away the tears. :o

Bit of advice, if your new to styling you can effectively make simple colour changes in your styles css which will compete with the many graphical styles you see around. Sometimes, simplicity is the solution vs the knowledge you have until you evolve in your learning abilities and become more creative in your implementations which will yield a more satisfying solution.

Kind of a nifty idea. Maybe dark blue letters or black but not yellow or red. Maybe some slightly darker shaded box transparencies behind some areas where text is visible to give a more solid feel. Not to much or it will get a cluttered or to heavy feel. Just enough to make the text more legible.

First start with the blue letters as an example then set off some text with the box suggestion. So that we can look at the differences.

Have Fun!

Too wide (forum innards lol) and background... just remember light images w/ dark font and vide-versa so they can always see the text and links well.
