Note that you must keep the text in the footer (unless you have branding-free). You probably know this already, but I'm just saying for anyone that might be confused and come over this thread.

Can I just keep "powered by vbulletin" instead of "powered by vbulleting version 3.7.x"? thanks.

Yes, you can take the version out.
